Prof. Koss has been dedicated for years to individualized and personalized IVOM therapies for retinal diseases such as dry and wet AMD. He co-developed the newest drug Faricimab (approved September 2022) with colleagues from Roche in Penzberg from the very beginning. (Read article)

His surgical focus is on cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and retinal surgery.
He is a member and speaker of national and international societies including DOG, BDOC, AECOS, ASRS, and AAO. He was one of the first practitioners of micropulse laser treatment for macular diseases in Germany. Since 2016 he has been a member of the highly renowned Vail Vitrectomy meeting for ophthalmic surgery.
