- burning eyes
- stinging or scratching sensation in the eyes
- foreign body sensation – “sand in the eye”
- blurred vision
- excessive tearing or conversely dry eyes that are not sufficiently moistened
- redness
- high light sensitivity

Causes
The most common causes of dry eye are age, medications, hormonal changes, diseases such as diabetes, rheumatism, etc., and environmental factors such as dry air, air pollution, computer work, mites (Demodex), and many more.

Can dry eye lead to more serious eye problems?
