Anti Aging
Wrinkle Treatment
More and more patients are realizing that anti-aging creams do not deliver the promised results. Applying such anti-wrinkle creams merely causes a temporary swelling of the outermost skin layer and is an attempt to add moisture to the skin. The penetration depth is always limited, and the moisture evaporates so quickly that a lasting reduction of wrinkles is not guaranteed. A sustainable and effective smoothing of wrinkles is best achieved through professional injection with Botulinum Toxin or Hyaluronic Acid in sufficient quantity and at optimal depth. This method represents the best alternative for non-surgical wrinkle therapy. To reduce pain during the injection, we use a medical numbing gel, and alternatively or additionally, any area can be fully numbed for 1-2 hours through targeted injections upon request. The cost of a procedure varies depending on the initial findings as well as the individual expectations of the patient. Therefore, the prices listed serve only as a guide or reference for cost estimation.
Wrinkle Injection with Botulinum Toxin
Wrinkle smoothing is achieved indirectly by immobilizing unwanted muscle activity. Using an extremely fine cannula, a few highly effective drops of a highly diluted solution are injected precisely into the muscle being treated. The required injections of Botulinum Toxin A into the problem areas are virtually painless. The medical dosage and injection frequency are determined individually and correspond to the medical indication. To avoid resistance, the injection interval should not be shorter than 12 weeks for medical reasons. Initial results are visible within just 10 days: the skin appears smoother, lines and wrinkles fade. The natural facial expression is maintained, as some degree of facial movement remains possible. The full effect usually sets in after 14 days and lasts an average of 5 months. The muscle relaxation for wrinkle reduction can be repeated multiple times without any issues and can easily be combined with wrinkle filling using hyaluronic acid.
Wrinkle Filling with Hyaluronic Acid
Wrinkle injection offers a non-surgical alternative for wrinkle removal. Hyaluronic acid is injected beneath the wrinkles to plump them up, or used for volume enhancement, such as accentuating the cheekbones. This natural substance, found in connective tissue, has the important function of binding moisture. Hyaluronic acid gives the skin volume and thus a vital, smooth appearance. However, the skin is subject to a natural aging process: the natural hyaluronic acid content decreases, connective tissue fibers are reduced and lose elasticity. The result: skin aging, wrinkle formation, and loss of elasticity and firmness. By injecting hyaluronic acid, the skin’s moisture reservoir is replenished. Allergic reactions to the injection are extremely rare. We use specially cross-linked hyaluronic acids in gel form, produced by renowned manufacturers and extremely well tolerated. The injections are performed with fine needles and are usually well tolerated. A numbing cream is usually sufficient, but can be supplemented with a local anesthetic upon request.
